Charles Bukowski: The Man with the Beautiful Eyes

This … this is my favourite poem. I feel it to be one of the greatest poems I have ever read.

I first read it in 1994 or so – after picking up Last Night of the Earth Poems, Stranger Music, and a couple Peter Gabriel Albums at some second hand stores in Downtown Ottawa. I remember it was a time when I was estranged from my last girlfriend. Ever.

One day, before I move on to the next, I might like to read this poem to a group of people.

Perhaps.

(Buk is not the one reading, but … this is a fantastic video nonetheless)
